Emily Wang（王雨桐）

Emily holds an MSc in Mathematics (Distinction) from the University of Warwick and a BSc from Peking University's School of Mathematical Sciences (GPA 3.8/4.0). During her time in the UK she served as an undergraduate teaching assistant at Warwick for two years, leading problem classes in Calculus and Linear Algebra and gaining extensive experience in English-medium mathematics instruction. Her master's thesis on functional analysis applications in PDEs received a departmental best-thesis nomination. Since joining TMUA Elite in 2019, she has specialised in foundation courses and the summer boot camp. Her lively, approachable classroom atmosphere features vivid analogies that have become legendary among students — from 'dominoes for mathematical induction' to 'roller coasters for function extrema'. She excels at building confidence in weaker students, guided by her belief that 'there are no unteachable students, only teachers who haven't found the right method'. Over 5 years her foundation classes have averaged a 2.1-point score improvement, and her summer boot camp satisfaction ratings have ranked first for three consecutive years, earning her the affectionate nickname 'Maths Goddess'. Emily also led the development of TMUA Elite's internal assessment system, which precisely tracks each student's topic mastery and generates personalised study recommendations. In her spare time she writes popular mathematics articles on educational platforms, with her series accumulating over 500,000 reads.
