Student Testimonial
Physics is my passion, but Imperial's Physics programme requires a TMUA score, which terrified someone like me with a more humanities-oriented mind. My first mock was 3.5 and I nearly gave up. Ms. Wang changed everything with one sentence: 'Mathematics isn't talent — it's a trainable way of thinking.'
She suggested I start from the very basics without rushing. In her foundation class she practically held my hand through functions, limits, and derivatives. Her signature method — asking 'Can you explain this back to me in your own words?' after every concept — forced me to truly internalise each idea rather than just skimming the surface.
After foundation I moved to the intensive sprint, where Mr. Liu's mock exam drills dramatically improved my speed and accuracy. His mock papers had an excellent difficulty gradient — from standard to advanced to challenge level — progressively pushing me higher.
Going from 3.5 to 6.8 still amazes me. My biggest feeling on exam day was that the questions had become 'readable' — no longer the intimidating alien text they once were. Now studying Physics at Imperial, I constantly use the logical reasoning skills honed during TMUA prep — every bit of effort was worth it.
3.5 → 6.8, admitted to 帝国理工学院
